GE IS200ERIOH1AAA Exciter Regulator I/O Board – EX2100 Series

General Electric IS200ERIOH1AAA serves as the Exciter Regulator I/O Board within the EX2100 series. This board delivers critical I/O interface functions for both simplex and redundant regulator systems. It ensures reliable communication between customer equipment and internal control modules. Engineers rely on IS200ERIOH1AAA for precise signal handling and system integration.

Core Technical Specifications

  • Brand: General Electric (GE)
  • Model: IS200ERIOH1AAA
  • Series: EX2100 Excitation Control
  • Form Factor: Single-slot, double-height (6U)
  • Backplane Connectors: Dual 96-pin P1 and P2
  • External I/O: Two 25-pin sub-D receptacles
  • Diagnostic Port: 9-pin sub-D “TEST” connector
  • Mounting Location: Exciter Regulator Backplane (ERBP)
  • Compatibility: EPCT, ECTBG2, ERDD, EROC boards
  • Temperature Range: -30°C to +70°C industrial operation
  • Noise Immunity: High common-mode rejection, shielded I/O paths
  • Linearity: ±0.1% full scale across input range
  • Isolation: 1500 Vrms optical isolation on digital inputs
  • Humidity: 5% to 95% non-condensing
  • Vibration Resistance: 2g continuous, 5g transient per IEC 60068-2

System Role and Interface Design

  • P1 connector acts as a slave communication interface. It links IS200ERIOH1AAA with other EX2100 control modules.
  • P2 connector serves as the primary I/O path. It connects directly to backplane-mounted boards like ERDD and EROC.
  • Faceplate integrates two 25-pin sub-D ports. These establish direct links with ECTB and EPCT terminal boards.
  • TEST port enables on-site diagnostics. Technicians can monitor signal integrity without removing the board.
  • 6U form factor conserves panel space. It fits seamlessly into standard EX2100 rack systems.
  • High noise immunity: Differential inputs reject industrial EMI.
  • Fast transient response: Input filters settle within 2 ms.

Redundant and Simplex Versatility

  • In simplex systems, IS200ERIOH1AAA mounts inside the ERBP. It manages customer I/O for excitation and contact terminal boards.
  • For redundant configurations, the board maintains full I/O functionality. It supports hot-backup regulator setups without signal loss.
  • Consistent role across both architectures. This reduces engineering complexity and spares inventory.
  • Enhanced fault tolerance: Dual-connector layout isolates critical signals from general I/O.

Installation and Packaging

  • Each IS200ERIOH1AAA ships in anti-static shielded packaging. ESD foam protects all connectors.
  • Package includes one GE ERIO board. No cables, software, or hardware accessories included.
  • Direct mechanical replacement. Matches existing EX2100 drill holes and keying.
  • We ship via FedEx, UPS, or DHL. Tracking provided within 24 hours.
  • Export packaging available. Double-boxed for international air freight.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can IS200ERIOH1AAA operate in both EX2100 and EX2100e systems?
A: Yes. This board supports legacy EX2100 and early EX2100e regulators. Check your backplane revision for full compatibility.

Q: What signals pass through the P2 connector?
A: P2 handles analog and digital I/O for regulator control. This includes firing pulses, feedback signals, and discharge commands.

Q: Do I need to configure jumpers before installation?
A: No. IS200ERIOH1AAA uses software-based addressing. Jumpers are not required for basic I/O mapping.

Q: Which terminal boards connect to the 25-pin ports?
A: Use ECTBG2 for contact I/O and EPCT for PT/CT signals. Both connect directly to the ERIO faceplate.

Q: How do I verify board operation without a full system test?
A: Use the TEST port with a standard serial adapter. You can poll status registers and measure reference voltages.

Q: Is this board a common failure point in EX2100 systems?
A: No. IS200ERIOH1AAA exhibits high field reliability. Most issues trace to external wiring or terminal board faults.

Q: Can I use this board as a spare for multiple cabinet types?
A: Yes. It fits all EX2100 cabinets using ERBP backplanes. One spare covers both simplex and redundant slots.

Q: What is the typical lead time?
A: In-stock orders ship within 48 hours. Volume orders require 3–5 business days.

Q: Does this board require calibration after installation?
A: No. Factory calibration remains stable over temperature and time. No field adjustment needed.

Better than thin plastic boards
I used to use one of those thin/bendable plastic cutting boards, thinking it's easier to transfer food into pots/pans from the board, but they tend to get bent in time and they're simply too thin and I hated the feeling of my knife pretty much hitting the kitchen counter. So, I decided to buy this set. I wanted to try a wooden board, but didn't want to spend too much in case I didn't like it, and this set had the perfect price tag and I liked the fact it came with 4 different sizes, so that I can see what size would actually be more useful. I've been using it for 2 months now they're doing great (except one of them started splitting a bit and started showing some strange black dots on the side... possibly mold??? though I can't think of any reason why mold would grow on just one of them. Maybe it's related to the fact that it's the only one that's cracking. And this is the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.) Anyway, apart from that one, the rest are doing well and having 3 boards is plenty. I like the juice groove to avoid spilling liquid on the board, as it happened so many time using the bendable plastic boards. I'm handwashing them with dish soap. They seem to dry pretty fast, and so far no stains etc. on the surface. They're not super duper thick so even the largest one is not too difficult to handle. I sometimes use them to serve some food like appetizers, snacks, pizzas and sandwiches, etc. too!

Updated review: spitting and splintering
UPDATE: Originally, one of the boards arrived with a split in it, but I was still happy with them. After a few weeks of light use, hand washing and drying of the boards, I figured it was time to update this review and knock these down to 1 star. The boards do not hold up very well. Cut marks are deep, and they are starting to splinter. Another of the boards has also developed a split. Save your money and go with cutting boards from someone else. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought these cutting boards to cut down on microplastic exposure. This would be a 5 star review except that one of the boards arrived cracked (noticed while hand washing all of them before use). Despite the one cracked board, I did not return them, as I immediately started using the boards, was too busy to deal with it at the time, and the overall value was still there. These boards are great, the value is excellent since you get several of different sizes. I like that all sizes have the moat for juices, because sometimes you are cutting one or two chicken breasts or one steak and don’t want to have to grab a big board. I honestly am writing this review because I wouldn’t be surprised if the company sends me a replacement. If they do, I will update the review to reflect their customer service.
