I have painted hundreds of butterflies over my life, maybe even thousands if I count every drawing book I have had since I was a child. Some of these butterflies were little scribbles with a pencil, while others were intentionally thought-out creations inspired by specific people or emotions. Each one represents something different to me or the viewer. I have received so many beautiful stories from people who have my butterflies in their homes. These stories further progress my already endless inspiration. Of all the things butterflies represent to me and others, the most significant meaning is that they, like me, cannot be boxed in. There is no limitation on where the butterfly can fly or what colors they can be. Like in my art, there is no boundary on how many I can paint and what stories they can tell.
