The Craft: Resin-to-Wood Fusion
The resin and wood are joined before the final shaping, not after. This means the connection is seamless and the two materials become one piece. The crystal-like resin tip is faceted and jagged, catching light from different angles.
No glue is visible at the joint. The black sandalwood shaft is turned smooth, and the resin is polished to a high gloss. Each piece has a unique internal pattern in the resin.
The Black Sandalwood and Resin
Black sandalwood, also called ebony, is a dense hardwood that darkens with age. It provides a rigid, stable shaft that holds hair securely. The resin is transparent with an opal-like iridescence, creating a colorful sparkle under light.
Expect slight variation in the resin's color swirls and the wood's grain. These are marks of a handmade piece, not defects. The resin may show tiny bubbles or flow lines — this is normal and part of the material's character.
Fit & Care
Works well for all hair volumes, including very thick and heavy hair. The 180mm length suits most updos, from buns to twists. If you have very fine or shoulder-length hair, consider our short hair sticks for a better fit.
Care: Wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid water, heat, and prolonged sunlight. Do not soak or use hair products on the resin.
